Recent research reveals that at least 1 in 6 Kiwi males endure sexual abuse, and tragically, many confront this reality before they even turn 18.
If you're a survivor, or if you care for someone who is, you don't have to face this journey in isolation.
Males Survivors Canterbury is here to support you on your unique path to healing.
Our team is highly experienced in aiding men who have grappled with the weight of sexual trauma, and we engage with hundreds of Cantabrians annually.
The fact that 1 in 6 men are affected by this issue is nothing short of astonishing, and most people are taken aback by this statistic.
However, it's essential to understand that this figure represents a minimum benchmark, the least we know to be true.
The reality may be even more alarming; there are likely numerous Kiwi males who suffer in silence, never discussing the sexual abuse they've endured.
Consequently, the actual statistic could be much higher.
It's vital to spread awareness about this subject, encouraging male survivors to step forward and seek the help and support they need.
Remember, you are not alone, and there is a compassionate community ready to assist you on your journey towards healing.
